STA N-series Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer offers the ability to perform DSC & TGA experiments simultaneously. DSC measures heat flow of a sample as a function of temperature or time. The heat flux plate monitors the temperature differential between the sample and an inert reference as the sample undergoes a transition or reaction. This temperature differential is proportional to the heat absorbed or given off by the sample during a temperature program. The STA instrument is calibrated with standard reference materials and the thermal analysis software applies calibration factors to precisely and accurately determine the temperature range of a sample transition and the enthalpy of the transition.
TGA measures weight changes as a function of a precisely controlled temperature profile. The STA system allows for multiple heating, cooling and isothermal segments to be linked together to achieve a complex temperature program.
Gas switching is also supported when setting up the temperature program. The vertical hangdown design offers stable and smooth weight readings to be recorded during the experiment. The STA’s small mass furnace responds quickly to changes in the temperature profile and cools down quickly for fast turn around between experiments.

  • Simultaneous DSC, DTA, and TGA

STA N-series provides DSC, DTA and TGA data simultaneously beside competitors are offering TGA and DTA data only.

  • Conversion Kit

STA N-series can be converted into both low temp. STA N-650 and high temp. STA N-1000/1500 by using ‘Conversion Kit(optional accessory)’. This allows customers can perform a cryogenic and high temp. experiments according to their demand needless to purchase additional instrument.

  • Water Cooling System

STA N-series employs ‘Water Cooling system’, and thus cooling speed is very fast comparing to others(at least two times faster) and also safe to use.

  • EGA(Evolved Gas Analysis) Mode

By using the ‘EGA Mode’, users can connect STA N-series with FT-IR or GC-MS needless to exchange the Furnace

  • Dual PID control

TGA N-series employs Dual PID control and therefore high temperature accuracy secured
